H+R Curator®

Building Monitoring Systems

Curator Systems enable parameters such as the moisture content of timber and other materials to be remotely monitored. The sensors can be inserted in critical structures during survey refurbishment or new construction and used to monitor environments, materials or contents. This allows building failures or defects to be detected and diagnosed at an early stage.

Curator systems are a new and powerful tool for the maintenance and management of buildings and their contents. The information they make available reduces risks for insurance and provides a basis for maintenance planning thus enabling the building professional and property owner to save time, materials and money.

Typical Curator applications

Curator systems are typically used for monitoring conditions such as:

The tiny sensors can also be inserted in items such as furniture or picture frames. Sensors can be placed at any depth in a material to measure internal moisture contents and in arrays to enable moisture profiles to be obtained.
