£1 million per claim insurance cover

The H+R specialist survey, specifications and inspection services are covered by professional indemnity insurance of £1 million each and every claim. The benefit of this insurance may be secured for the final client in projects by means of a collateral warranty agreement similar to that used for the engineers or architects

30 year guarantee

H+R also produce a 30 year guarantee against timber decay which can be insurance backed by the Property Guarantee Administration which is acceptable to mortgage lenders. As you know such guarantees are of little or no practical use except in giving 'comfort'. H+R therefore recommend that whole building guarantees are obtained under the NHBC, Premier Guarantees or Zurich Building Guarantee mutual schemes who are happy to accept the H+R approach

Reduced risk of inappropriate specification

H+R has been employed on a number of projects. This has provided a more secure insurance backing than is available by depending on 'Product Guarantee' from remedial chemical manufacturers. The employment of H+R also relieves the other members of the design and management teams of the professional indemnity associated with damp and decay or the inappropriate specification and use of potentially hazardous remedial treatments
