Remedial specification

H+R investigate all types of existing buildings for the condition of materials, the extent of damp and decay, and for latent defects. H+R then prepare detailed specifications for remedial work allowing for the cost effective refurbishment of structures. H+R remedial specifications avoid unnecessary use of specialist products such as chemical remedial timber treatments or injected 'damp-proof courses' and the loss of original materials.

Independent investigation and remedial specifications by H+R allow significant savings in project costs and programming, and are welcomed by planning authorities; building guarantee schemes such as Zurich, NHBC and HAPM; and for Building Control.
